The main focus for this term is life in Ancient Greece. The topic web below illustrates some more activities we will be doing during this 'action' packed term. The highlight will be our Greek day- this includes dressing like a Greek, eating like a Greek- simply living life as a Greek!

Autumn 2009
Welcome to Mrs Neale's Year 6 class . On the 2nd October the year 6s are going to France untill the 5th October. And also on the 16th November the year 6s will be going to Shakespeares Globe Thertre. Our topic is on Romeo And Juliet.
On Monday 23rd Novemember, it is our 'Mask Ball Event". To make the event really special, it would be wonderful if the children could dress up in the style of a character from the play. the children will have an oppottunity to learn a Tudor style dance and complete the performance in costume, wearing the masks that they are going to design in class. After the ball, the children will take part in a class feast, with traditional Tudor music, drinks (squash) and 'sweet-meats' (fruit and cake) etc.
Allowing the children to dress up in style of a character is a fantasic way for the children to understand how the character could behave and feel. Dressing up days provide valuable educational opportunities and are a great source of fun.
If you have any questions or further information, please do not hesitate to cantact either of us.
