How to take clips from You Tube to use in the classroom
Use the free on line service www.zamzar.com for downloading youtube videos up to 100MB
For bigger files use Real Player 11 . Once this has been installed on your computer, when you play a video, a tab will appear just above the movie that is playing offering to ‘download this video’, it pops-up as you hover over the video. It will save the video as an FLV file.

This is like Skype, but one person speaks at a time and it can be replayed
Here is an example of a replayed conversation! Book a flashmeeting
flashmeeting - book a meeting with anyone with a webcam for live chat in a secure environment! This tool is like Skype, but can have 20 people in on the conversation. Only one person can speak at a time ( a good thing!) and it records your conversation so you can replay it. You can also access other peoples conversations to use if they have made them public!
