WOW!
We were so overwhelmed with the generosity of our Parents & Carers this week. You really are amazing! We have collected huge amounts of donations for the Ukrainian Crisis and these were collected from School today to take to the British Red Cross. Thank you so much to everyone for your support and once again, out-doing yourselves when it comes to those who need our help.
Ukarainian Crisis
Dear Parents and Carers, More than half a million people have fled Ukraine since Russia invaded on Thursday, but the European Union's crisis management commissioner says the figure could reach seven million. The Westlea Support Squad have kindly offered to collect donations to support the Ukraine crisis. Please can all donations be made by Friday 4th March and the Squad will transfer the items to the designated collection points. Items [...]

Holocaust Memorial Day assembly on the 27th January, 4 of the Y6 Prefects performed a poem on Holocaust Memorial Day about the need to stop 'Racism and Discrimination'. We need to love instead of hate and work together, to stop discrimination.
New Nursery Class Opens
In September, Westlea opened a Nursery Class (Acorns) for children aged 3-4yrs. Westlea Primary School pupils make their own field of Remembrance Westlea Primary School is marking Armistice Day today with a special virtual assembly including a two-minute silence and reflection after finishing their Remembrance display earlier this week, Pupils paid their respects to fallen soldiers by designing and planting poppies next to 60 crosses with handwritten messages.
