Westlea Primary Support Squad (WPSS)

Rather than the more traditional PTA (parent teacher association), we have created Westlea Primary Support Squad. We are a group for all parents, guardians and carers to see what fun events we have planned and to capture parents voice to create an inclusive and supportive community.

We really hope that with this fresh start and fresh team, we can plan some wonderful events for the school. The benefits for the children and the staff are incredible, and something we will all take pride in doing.

With this being said, we really hope that YOU feel you can be part of the Squad too, even if not a member.

We have a big team of helpers on board, please see the intros below to find out more about us.

We are all from very diverse and different backgrounds and strongly agree with the premise of ‘Bee Kind’.

If anyone should ever need assistance, we would love to try and help you, to guide you to the right places, to assist you and if possible be that shoulder you need. All with discretion, and with a lot of kindness.

We are so excited to everybody having events to look forward to, and to putting smiles back onto those little faces.

If anyone has any questions, ideas, ways to support us, please do contact us.

Let’s make this school proud to have a Squad.

With love,
Westlea Primary Support Squad

Crystal

Chair

Hi I’m the new chair of Westlea PTA. I’m a mother of 4 and part time accountant for our family business.

I have been at Westlea School since 2009. My eldest has now moved on to secondary school. I have two currently attending Westlea in years 2&4 and my youngest will start EYFS in September.

I am really excited about the fresh new PTA. I’m emphasising on bringing the parent support to Westlea and the kind caring hearts

Steph

I previously spent many years working within the leisure industry but have spent the last few years working within the criminal justice system.
